Ok, I'm a year late (but it's been a busy year).

I put Fred's RW neck on my favourite AL. Of course, it didn't look quite right with the white pearloid pickguard I had in there, so I eventually settled on Moonstone ... which required changing the pickups for black ones. (Bill Lawrence L200/L200/L298.)

This thing is a gigging machine and plays like butter. (Thanks again Fred.) Not the best pic, but you get the idea:

After playing it for a few years I decided two things about this guitar. I prefer maple necks and P90 pickups.

I offered up the original rosewood neck in a swap for a maple neck, beej stepped up and a trade was made. I swapped out the original pickups  I know blasphemy, but decided to drop in a set of Seymour Duncan Phat Cats, P90's in a humbucker form factor. In my opinion this was a success all around and the guitar plays and sounds fantastic. Original pickups were sold to a forum member.

Obligatory pic...

This is an awesome set up...I need to build something similar. Well done!
