Albert Lee Owners, Can you help?

What are your opinions on the tremelo vs. non tremelo debate with regards to this guitar? Rich

Rich, this is one of those decisions that only you can make. If you use a trem, then get one. Me I prefer to have mine without a trem, since I really am no good with them, plus I've always just liked hardtails.

Good luck on the decision and keep us up to date.

Yep.

Hey! Shouldn't you be at Juber?

Lisa is in Canada, and my folks came up this weekend... I also had a chance to tech for Biff Baby's All Stars this weekend. (The wedding band from hell...Sterling, Luke, Cliff hugo..more that I can't remember now, but DAMN!

Glenn,

I now realize how vague my tremelo question was, I was actually wondering if there was a noticeable difference in tone between the two options(trem vs hardtail). I am a tremelo addict and it has become an integral part of my technique. I did have an old pink paisley tele that I used extensively, but I have to admit it took awhile to get used to a hard-tail after all those years with my trusty 93 EBMM EVH model. Despite the fact that the trem on the Albert Lee is more of a vintage style unit, it still will meet my needs.

Thanks again,

Rich

Rich, no problem. I see where you are coming from. Well if you are a trem user and can live with the vintage trem, can't hurt to have it. From a tone point I really can't help you there. You'd need to hear from someone who has both or who has intimate knowledge of both.

Good luck, Glenn |B)
