Wow, thanks for all your feedback! I'm just returning from a deployment and haven't had much time to respond. Sounds like the AL is seriously contending with the Silo... and yes Im aware of the HH models but i very much prefer maple fretboards and cant imagine a full rosewood neck... i just have no idea what that would be like. Unfortunately i cant play any, no one here stocks em without a 2.5 hour drive

The all rosewood necks are amazing. They are super smooth and highly addictive. You would not regret going the HHAL route at all. That being said, my Silhouette Special with all maple neck is quickly becoming my favorite guitar. The only mod I'm considering is converting it to the L3 config (well, transition Humbucker and as close as l can get with the singles).
