The black gold was a 2006 Limited Edition model only so you won't be able to buy one unless it's NOS.

You haven't put your location in your profile so I don't know whether this will be an option - but they did have a 2006 Limited Edition for sale in Machinehead UK - owned by forumite DaveB

You're saying I can't order the black/gold combo? Black/chrome only?

Hey all you fellow members of the ALOC and MALOC, I am actually fiddling with my AL while browsing through this thread - what a feeling and so damn proud to own a fantastic instrument! :D

If you ordered a new AL you can get Black with chrome fittings.

The gold fittings came on the 2006 LE AL so unless you could buy New Old Stock you wouldn't be able to get gold fittings- as I say there is one in stock in the UK or you may try to see if Customer Service could track one down for you in the US - I bleeb that there were not that many LE AL's.

Are those the stock control knobs or did you change them?

That one belongs to fellow forumite Lance Romance for whom I hosted these photos.

The guitar is the same as mine except that Lance has fitted those aftermarket knobs and has had a different (and expensive) tone pot fitted.
Try searching on his posts/threads for more info on that.

He was the first that I knew of to get the '06 LEAL.

I'm getting to know my LEAL - I'm still in love with my first love - my BCB AL.

suggestions Brent? Go play one!!!!!!! However you can, just do it!

sad to report that just 900 miles north of SLO where the Albert Lee's are born there are none to even hold yet alone play. I must admit I have yet to see one in the flesh. thanks to the forum for keeping me in the loop..so close yet so far away.

The AL seems to be going through something of a popularity surge as a result of championing from a number of knuckleheads!

I have to say, i love my Axis, cant wait to pick up my JP on Friday but i look at the AL and it just gives me a warm feeling (that might be a result of my incontinence though :p) and I have got to get one as soon as poss!

This thread is just making my ALAS worse!
