I'm a huge Axis fan, and with seven of 'em in my stable, they're without a doubt my number one guitar - however, I also own an AL, and I have no issues moving from one to the other... I feel that the AL neck is the closest to the Axis of any other EBMM models; the AL is a uniform D shape rather than asymetrical shape of the Axis, but they're really quite similar. Should you buy one? Well of course you should! ;)

Caucajun, I'm with Jimi D here I have 2 Axes, an AL and a Silhouette Special and the AL's neck is the closest thing to the Axis. I'm so glad that I got my AL, I love the feel and the MM90 pickups are sweet. But I also love the SS, because as Jon puts it the SS is what the F@nder Strat wants to be, or something like that. To me the SS's neck isn't that far off from the AL or Axis.

Try them all out and then figure out what you are looking for.

My $.02 worth, Glenn |B)
