I own a MM90 AL. Do you know if the repair was to fix someone else's wiring mod, and to put the guitar back to stock wiring as shown in the wiring diagram on page 1 of this thread? Or was it something else? I notice that my MM90AL sounds darker and a little less volume in the 2 and 4 positions. The middle pickup is definitely RWRP as the 2 and 4 positions have the maximum hum cancelling of all the positions. Makes me wonder if the silent circuit is really even necessary in 2 and 4 and if maybe using a super switch to lift it from those positions could help liven up those positions. One person here mentioned just using a non RWRP MM90/P90 and wiring it up ground to blue just like the other two, which seems to me, could help also liven up those positions, with the silent circuit alone providing all the hum reductions. Please let me know, if you can, what your repair guy did with the wiring, and thoughts from anyone else are fine as well. Thanks.
