My first Bongo arrived today! I have been waiting for this bass anxiously for months and it has finally arrived. I have played many Bongos around the store but I have never had the chance to gig on one. So when I recently picked up a new gig I decided it was time for a treat!

I went with a 4 String HH and I must say it is sweet! I’ll present more details tomorrow in the form of pictures once the TPB photo squad has finished having their way with this guy.

All I can say is thank you BP, AJ and the EBMM team for making this special bass happen!

<ominous voice>We've been waiting for you, Brandt.</ominous voice>

Can't wait to see the pics.

BTW, would you mind sharing sometime the setup the TPB guys use to take your photos? They clearly rock.

Jack,

TPB photo suite consists of the following hard to find items:

An old set of incubator lights and a disposable camera that I got from Disneyland.

:D:D:D

I’m not really sure what we use but if photograph is one of your hobbies and would really like to know I will get you the details.

I’ve got a little change in my pocket, goin' jingle-lingle-ling,
Gonna buy a new bass, get me some zing,
But each time you post, you’ll hear us old guys sing,
“Always no huggy, no kissy, until we see the thing.”
Dude, buddy, don't put your post up on the shelf,
"Don't hand us no lines and keep your bass to yourself".

You see I wanted it real bad and I was about to make good,
That's when he started talkin' 'bout maple, started talkin' 'bout rosewood.
I said "Dude, I’ll buy now if you take MasterCard,
He said, "no huggy, no kissy, 'till you go the next yard.”
Dude, buddy, don't put your post up on the shelf,
"Don't hand us no lines and keep your bass to yourself."

I think Brandt told me about this one a while back. I believe it is something special - a one-off or unique color. The pictures will tell the story. Hurry up Brandt - post the pics!

Guys,

Without further ado …

Here it is! My custom White Pearl/Stealth hybrid 4 string HH w/o pick guard. This baby rocks and it looks amazing! (IMO) I got the idea from the newly released F****r Duff bass but I couldn’t stomach another F****r in my bag. Plus, I have recently been playing 4 strings a lot more and the only Ball that I own is a SR5H.

So I ran this idea by BP at a recent NAMM show and when he gave me the go ahead I couldn’t pass the opportunity up. This Bongo came out better that I could have imagined, I can’t wait to get it on stage! (Unfortunately I have no gig this weekend.)

Thanks again to BP, AJ and the rest of the EBMM team that made this happen! And thanks to all the forum members for your constant rave about the Bongo! I now “officially” get it!

Here it is all TPB photo'ed out!

Very very nice, congrats. I'm considering doing the same thing when I get my Sterling Silver Bongo 4 H ... basically swapping the necks and all hardware between the 2 basses. The one I'm really more excited about "creating" this way is the Silver-bodied 4H with the Stealth neck and hardware. I try to stay away from envy, but it'd be nice to be able to order it as you've done, rather than needing 2 basses to do it. :)

Anyhow, awesome bass, man. Enjoy!

After I put the order in AJ sent me a pic of your bass.... and it really got the GAS going!

... I guess I owe you credit on having the first White/Stealth hybrid! We should start a very limited member club.
