Trying to get insurance on guitars is very difficult. My homeowners policy won't cover them because I am professional musician (professional = anyone that gets paid for playing....) I have shopped for other coverage but it it is prohibitively expensive here and the coverage is horrible....

My renters insurance company swears they cover guitars. I specifically asked them -- multiple times.

We'll see what happens when the house burns to the ground.

wee will keep our eyes and ears open sorry K why musicians steal from each other is beyond me.

Thanks Sterling, this was a screwed up mess from the start and well has taught me a great lesson.

Sorry to hear that Keith, i Will definitly keep an eye on every eBay auction.

Don't you have any insurance for your guitars? Mine are covered but it's true that nothing can replace them

If they are stolen from my house which this one was it is but is less than the deductible.

According to the SN its a black HH.

AJ That is correct, Thanks

Keith, Sent u a PM...

Awesome Steve thanks PM sent back!!!

Just more of an overall update: Lil Steve sent me a link that is helpful, the police have /are issuing to warrants for the people they have names of, the one from the pawn shop and the one from GC.

USPS is the biggest culprit, this guitar was sold to a good friend and fourm member, USPS royally screwed up the shipping and unexpectedly dumped it on my door step with no communication of it happeneing, we have a long paper trail about this including letters sent that the guitar was in customs possesion overseas.

Anyways the GArland police and the dectective assigned have done a great job, and while I still reserve doubt I will ever see the guitar again I do believe the perps will do jail time!!

Everyone thanks for you well wishes and looking out.

Peace

Keith

Below is the link Lil Steve sent me, I believe this is the thief, the pic attached is stolen from an Ebay auction, the guitar in the pic is new and located in Florida, I just verified that, I have sent the thief an email asking for info, I will get this info to the police, please be cautious if approaching this guitar.

Thanks

Wow sorry to hear of this whole disaster Keith. I was shocked when you said it was stolen from your house but you cleared it up by stating the idiot UPS guy left it at your door so at least no one got inside. You did not have that someone had to sign for it or was that another blunder on UPS as if so they may be responsible. I hope you are not on the hook for your friends ax.

Keith-

glad to see there's some sort of direction to go legally and get the crooks. If i'm not mistaken due to the price of the guitar it's a bigger crime which is good... and hope the books get thrown at em...

Keep positive and everything will work out for the best.

Thanks but not UPS but the United States Postal Service, USPS, my/our ongoing battle with them has been two months of no help, BS, being lied too etc.

I just now want to catch the thieves:mad:

Since I've had a few beers, I can't even convey the disgust I feel and the punishment I'd like to inflict on this scum...

I sincerely hope this has a happy ending.

He posted his phone number in the CL ad, call him up then beat the crap out of him when he comes to deliver the guitar.

Hope things work out.

Hope you get it back Keith. The Craigslist photo looks like an Olive Green L3. I'm also wondering why if the Perps tried to sell a Stolen Guitar to Guitar Center. Guitar Center knew it was Stolen and did not confinscate
the guitar? Did they get a description and Lic. plate # and call 911. ??

I don't understand something. When I have shipped guitars worth more than $500 with a scanned tracking, it automatically requires a signature. Did the sender not spend the 75 cents on tracking?

In any case, I hope you get it back, Keith. You don't deserve this crap.

So, did you sell the guitar, ship it, and it was returned back to your home (with no notification)....is that right? Someone nabbed ut from the porch?

you said you've learned a lesson, what is that lesson? I'm sure a few of us can benefit from it as well.

Why is the pictured CL ad an Olive Green guitar, when your's is black? I'm not following how that is the thief.

Sorry to hear about this.

I believe Keith was saying the pic in the ad wasnt the guitar that was being solicited on CL. Price seemed rather fishy also for a brand new LIII
