Hmmmmmmmm a 310 might be something I should also consider. What brand? Epifani makes one, but any others to consider?

I noticed that the UL310 is 5.3 ohms, so does that mean I would loose some power on my 4 ohm 6.0 shuttle? I would assume so, but will I really notice it THAT much?

Also has anyone tried the new EPIfunky series 410 cab? I know these are made in China, but how do they sound?

Swings & roundabouts. So your amp might not produce as much power, but the extra driver in the array increases cone surface area = more air being pushed. Impedance shouldn't be a major factor unless your'e going to hang multiple cabs per amp channel. Look at the sensitvity rating, that will be a better "apples to apples" comparison on how much loud each cabinet will deliver. Finally, each company will use cabinet design and component selection to 'voice' their product. Go out & listen to as many brands as you can, one of them is bound to best match the 'sound in your head'. Looking at a brand, or configuration, or specs is no susbstitute for listening, and at the end of the day, the foundation of our craft is to be listened to....

I spoke with a local dealer very close to my home, and they said it comes in 8 ohms. Not sure if he meant it ALSO comes in 4, but I am going down there next week to try out BOTH the EpiFUNKY and the UL410. The only difference is that the UL410 is a 4 ohm cab. For almost TWICE the price, the UL better sound ALOT more powerful and clearer for me to make the leap.

I'm seriously considering selling ONE of my UL112 cabs and using THAT money to finance most of the purchase of the EpiFUNKY 410.

Well I just got home, and I want to give my thoughts on the Epifunky 410. Per the owner of the store and they are a very close dealer with Epifani, the 410 ONLY comes in 8 ohms. That is the one I tried with my Shuttle 6.0 and SR5. The cab sounded pretty solid, and had a nice LOW tone. It's NOT the most articulate, but does remind me alot of my SVT410HLF. It's by no means the exact tone, but has many similarities. The other problem I had was that there is no option for wheels on this cab, and at 57 pounds, would NOT be fun to carry any long distance. All in all it's a nice solid cab for the money, and would be nice for someone looking for a nice light inexpensive option. Unfortunately at 8 ohms, it's not what I need right now.
