Hi all,

Firstly this is not a criticism, rant or anything other than a general question asked out of curiosity...

Am I correct in thinking that the new EBMM Classic Collection maple boards have an amber tint in the laquer?

If so, will this ever be available on other maple board EBMM basses, or is it only for the premium figured (birds eye or flame) maple necks on the Classic Collection basses?

I'm really GASsing for a fretted Big Al 5er with a maple board at the moment...

This vintage tint, looks awesome to me. I love it on my Candy Red. It makes the bass in my opinion.

Love tinted necks, either new or those that have "ambered" over the years
Really not a big fan of some of the maple these days that that has a really stark white look

That will get considerably darker within the first year, if exposed to light and played. After that the darkening will progress slower, but refreshing the oil & wax will help to give it a nice honey shimmer.
