Depending on where you're driving around and how far you want to go, here are a couple of places you might want to check out. You might already know about these shops, but just in case: Larry Morgan in Garland, Charley's in Dallas, Zoo Music (are they still around?) in Garland, and Anderson's in Frisco.
These are all nice smaller shops that carry stuff you may not see at your local Guitar Center.
I am defianetly going to check out Larry Morgans and I always forget about Charley`s, but I have never heard of Andersons will have to look that one up.
I am not sure what tones you really like but a lot of ground can be covered on a Mesa Mark IV. They can take some time to learn and dial but I can help you with that should you go tht path. I like mine a lot.
