Dude, I live with 3 other musicians and I'm always first up in the morning and use that time to rehearse. If you have an iphone, you can down load Gallien Krueger app that is pretty awesome. It has amp modulator, cabinet selection eq's and alot of eq's. I bought an iphone adapter from Guitar Center 35.00 and plugged in and haven't looked back yet! I think the app was 4.99.
Works with any headphones even your iphone earbuds.
Hell, I even use it now at my live venues as my tuner in the tools section of the app. Rock on!
Man that sounds really interesting.

Forgot to mention...I bought a Fender Mustang I as a gift for my nephew back when they first came out and remember having had a super-fun weekend checking it out before I wrapped it up. They're so cheap and great fun, so if you're only looking for a bedroom amp those aren't too bad. The Yamahe THR series is awesome, too but I'd at least go for a THR10 (which is about three times the price of the Mustang I here in Germany).

I had never looked at the Yamaha THR amp's til this thread - looks to be the ultimate bedroom amp to me. Great features on that. Think i add it to my wish list.

Keep up wih a drummer? I seriously doubt it, but like spud said, I would imagine that mic'd up it'd sound killer. Those little amps are (as Simon Phillips said on the liner notes of Luke's "Candyman" album) "the donkey's knob". Definitely one on my shopping list.

I can vouch for the Yamaha THR10 series as I have two (Original Cream and the X version which has the higher gain models). I might be selling the cream one (not totally sure yet), so if you're interested let me know.

At the same time I'm looking at a low wattage head (Suhr Corso, Mesa mini rec or TA15) and marrying it with a Badcat Unleash.

Yup, the demos I've heard of the Corso sound stupidly good... Have you had a chance to try one yet? I don't know if anyone in the UK has them yet, I'm still waiting for Peach guitars to get them in!
