I just got a peavey 5150, and finally got to play it through my pals old crate 212, and i must say what a great amp! I like the clean channel with the crunch and bright button on and the pre at about 7, great sound, the lead sound is great too, tons of sustain and distortion, wicked fun for solos. But the cab im using is sub par, its just a loner from a pal, and is beat to crap but functional, so heres the question, im in the market for a 212 and my budget is $199 for a used cab. So far im looking at the marshall mc212 which is UK made and has some sort of celestion speakers in it, its made of mdf with a plywood baffle, and its a good looking cab all black with no piping, they look pretty sturdy, has anyone any experience with this cab? I found one for $199 used in good shape, i think it should sound good being a marshall, and even the crappy crate cab sounds good with this awesome amp! So any help or suggestions would help. Thanks.

Hello. I would look at GC clearance/used this weekend as they are having a big sale and you might find something better in your price range. That amp is great but the poor speakers in that cab will be disappointing IMHO....

If this is a stock UK Marshall cab with the original Celestions, that price is really good. You get the Rock&Roll sound out from them. Might be heavy, though....
