Well it is complete. I have made my SS and Andy Timmons SS. Only thing I need was his hands, a sunburst paint job and an extra knob for master volume lol

Behold two dimarzio cruiser (both are bridge pups) in the neck and middle and an AT-1 in the bridge. In position 3 I am running bridge and neck pup in parallel.

I am also running it with 250k pots. I didn't do that on purpose as I just forgot to get 500k pots but I am digging the tone so far (I just gigged it last night for the first time) the cruisers sound kind of like single coils that have some highs rolled off when using the 250k pots I love that. The AT-1 is a medium output pickup and has some nice meat but just sings. Can't wait to gig it again tomorrow.

Nice Otto! Glad you finally got it together. Looks really cool and I'm sure it rocks harder than before. If you use 500K pots the cruisers will sound even more single coil like. The only thing that I did not like too much on the cruisers is that the low strings did not have a tighter attack...I'm happy with my Fast Track 1s though. I'm sure the AT1 sounds awesome though. Post some more pics! By the way, I think you SHOULD keep the black pearl guard...it looks awesome.

Thanks guys! The AT is awsome. The pg is black pearliod. It has a trem but the previous owner put 5 springs in it. I actually need to take 2 springs out and order a trem arm from EBMM. Roubster the cruisers with the 250k pots actually sound kind of like some "Texas" single coils ala SRV, KWS ect.

Yea, the cruisers are definitely fatter sounding single coils, and with the 250Ks I'm sure even more so. For some reason I did not get along with the cruiser as much in my Silo Special. I wonder how much of a difference there is between the neck and bridge model.

Now to go a TINY bit off topic but on topic at the same time...someone should put THIS in Mr. Timmons' hands!!!

I am planning to get the same pickups for my silo special. Do you have any sound sample that I can hear before decide?

Andy Timmons played my silhouette special (which has an AT 1 and bridge cruiser in it and I also kept the 250k pots, cooler tone to my ears)

music for trailers

Interestingly his neck felt exactly the same as mine, seriously, those were his words! so I tried his AT100 and to my shock and surprise it felt identical!

Hehe, I guess that this sunburst beauty would be a no-brainer for quite a few fellow knuckleheads here. :D Despite the fact that EBMMs play and sound pretty awesome, I strongly doubt that Andy would ever again swap his Ibanez AT-100 for a longer period of time.

I just listened to a very intimate interview with Andy that gives a couple of interesting insights, e.g., that Andy considered endorsing Fender because people usually assign particular music styles with the headstock they see next to a guitarist ... which in turn may have closed some doors for him. But I guess he's pretty happy with the way his career has developed so far.

If you'd like to give the interview a listen, here you go ...

Are the big dots something that is being rolled out to all new EBMM guitars? I like the little ones, very classy indeed...
