Ok, I owe you guys an apology.

I have been lurking here for a while. There’s seems to be quite a few of you have multiple versions of the same guitar, I found this, initially, a bit strange.

Yesterday I picked up my first ASS (thanks Steveh). Today, I have spent the last hour (should be working) looking round on the internet for a trans gold Axis ! Do I need to say anymore ?

Ah well you see Mrs Phrat is having a new engagement ring which is costing the equivalent of 2 lovely balls  so she cant complain at the moment...one down, one more to go :D Mwoah ha ha ha

I hope she doesnt see this post :(

my wife never understood me buying another of the exact same model. I wonder how she'll take it when I purchase a third?

Welcome fellow UK'er and fellow Deep Souther!

It is a sickness but you just have to give in!

I managed to stop at 1 Axis but then caught the JP bug (4 so far - 5th on order).

Hrrumphh!!:D

If you guys are deep south where does that make me? Just south? Deep Midlands? Deepest North? Sub Scotland?

I am resisting the JP bug at the moment as I really want a Luke but everytime i see a JP and I have to fight the urge!! It would be a lot easier if my favourite guitarists didnt play EBMMs!! I love Satch but I have no interest in going out and buying a JS! :D

Well, as I am orignially a Yorkshire lad, anywhere south of Manchester is the deep south to me.

funny you should mention the JS as I have real bad gas for a JS1200 at the moment but it will have to wait.

Hello, my name is Jack and I have six Bongos.

Six.

Bongos.

Oh, and a Stingray 5 and a 30th Anniversary Stingray.

And a Dargie Delight SR5 HH on order.

You'll be amongst us now, I think.

Jack

For my second Axis I was planning on changing the pickups, nothing wrong with the ones that are in there but just to give it a different voice and more of a neice with my other guitars.

What’s different about your 5 petrucci’s and 6 bongos, tell me it’s not just the color

Ouch!!!

Welcome Dazza from myself and hubby in the, well, I guess we're East-ish :) Trev has caught Albert Lee fever - I made the fatal mistake of buying him one, and now he wants several more... But to his credit he plans to make them all different by getting different pickup options... and that's about it. Mainly he's just going to buy them in different colours!

With all these new forum members, I reckon we need to have some sort of UK meet up!!!

As far as i can see a different colour is a whole different guitar :D I find a red guitar has a slightly warmer tone than a blue one

I think the UK meet up is a v good idea!
