I have an Albert Lee model that I bought from a guy a few months back. The guitar is a 98 model and the neck hasn't been cleaned or reoied and waxed. I know there are instructions in the FAQs section of the Ernie Ball site. My question is, what will happen if I never do anything to the neck/fretboard other than wipe it with a cotton cloth?

It may turn near black, depending on yer own cleanlyness and body chemistry. I've determined I prefer solid maple necks, but I wish they'd put a glossy polyemer finish on the fretboard side, to lessen maintainace and give ya that play'n on glass feel of an old fender.
I use fowenbeys'{sp?} lemon oil and sometimes a light wipe on rubb off of oil soap first.
