Please (Foggy ;) )....I'd like to see photos of pickguard combinations with a Black Silo, particularly the abalone and toroise. Got the EBMM pics from Instrument builder, but would like to see more some 'live shots' Thanks

You're welcome!
You might consider the Moonstone as well. Sort of like the Abalone, but not as "pretty".

Black Pearloid is just black and gray. The pattern is more traditional.

Thanks guys ...I have a black HSS Silo Special w/ rosewood board & natural headstock on order with a tortoise p/g...I'm now stewing about calling to change to abalone. I'd love to see that exact guitar (e.g., rosewood and natty) before I do...

Foggy, I just emailed in the change to my dealer, so if all goes well (meaning, my delivery date doesn't slip as a result), I can show you pics of one in February!

Purple, I'm glad you started this thread. I like the abalone way more than the tort after looking at Foggy's pics (thanks to you to, Foggy).

Off topic, how's the new Lone Star treating you? I got to spend all day yesterday and today with mine, I've never been this happy with an amp. I went the Andy Timmons route and plunked an Xotic BB Preamp in front of it, the thing is really alive now. I have several amps for sale now...

I agree having seen the pics. I also like the Moonstone that Foggy posted. I've now emailed Strings and Things over here to see if they can source either for me. I can get the Abalone sent over from Pickguard Heaven , but they don't list the moonstone.

Re: the Lonestar. Not had much opportunity to experiment much, although I did gig it on NYE. Overall very impressed but I didn't suss out till later that the 'solo boost' function doesn't operate without the FX loop switched in so I spent a fair bit of the gig on my knees in front of it scratching my head  (we've all done that I'm sure lol ) I also need to lift it or get a cab to go under. (may just sit my other extension cab that I use with my DC3 on top) My hearing is shot to bits after years of gigging , I can't hear a thing when it's on the floor and I hate to hear it through monitors.) I'm out with it tomorrow night so I'll find some time to play before I leave for the gig. I'd be interested to hear more about the BB preamp. I'm using the Seymour Duncan pickup booster which I guess will have a similar effect. the SD sounds wicked with the Albert Lee !
