I did an impromptu family photo. I'll shoot another one tomorrow during the day.

Also, I restrung the Silo . . . the right way. Loaded with regular Slinky's

As much as I'm liking the single coil combos, I'm already thinking about ordering a S-S-S loaded pickguard for it. I'm amazed at how versatile and flexible this guitar is with its tonal possibilities.

I'd even like to get some of the hum-cancelling stacked single coils that DiMarzio makes.

I think the Silo and the AL are Strat killers. (I haven't played or tried an AL yet, but the reviews here are great.)

definitely try SSS on the silo special, its really great.

SSS Silo Special/SSS AL just rock. oh so much. have such an excellent bridge single coil makes a difference, you can get lots of great useable tones from that pickup on those two guitars. puts any strat to complete shame. wish the Luke came in SSS!

Here's a case study in proper lighting. It's always fascinated me how the quilt on the hardtail gleams in the light, but completely disappears out of the light. It's ghostly.

As much as I like all three, I think the Hardtail is my fave of the group. It looks great, sounds great, has simple controls, and can handle pretty much anything I throw at it.

The Silo is my second fave. I'm still finding out what this puppy is capable of, and the vintage trem system is slowly winning me over the Floyd (but not totally).

The Axis w/ Floyd is good. Good tuning stability, great sound, and the body shape works well for me. But, I'm always looking for a different one. I'd really like either an EVH or order a PBB Axis. Anything with a nice finish and decent quilt.

My collection has changed so much in the past 4-5 years. Different brands, going between trems and hardtails, I've at least found the brand I like. The hard part is finding a model and features fit me and my playing style best.

Here's my collection in a past life (last year). The SUB and the trans amber Axis have long since been sold.
