the problem did not come from the guitar but from the pick...since I use dunlop jazz III I don't feel no difference with my other guitars.

so of course, I don't sell it !

yeah i know..... haha... a bass would be fine too:D my wife is actually a little bit worried because i am talking about those fine guitars all the time - and thinking of another one... and another... ...

@tristan
thats great! - because the 20th is a piece of art and fits to you perfectly (don´t know if that makes sense but i think you know what i mean).
dunlop jazz III all the way - i could not play with another pick...

i am really happy that my 20th has the hard-tail and the rosewood - it sounds so full - just great!

it would have been really painful and sat to let te guitar go...I consider it as a personal present from stering, letng me ordering it so late, and from jon, due to his incredible work on it...

and, that's true, this sound is made for me...

I don't even want to order a new MM...I could because of the endorsement deal but I don't need one...except a spare silo 20th or a bongo.

Thomas,

I am very happy that you are enjoying the 20th. I do miss her but I know she is in good hands and it's great to know that you are playing the heck out of her. What amp are you using?

Philip

hi folks, hi philip!:)

at the moment i have 2amps - a jsx and a koch twintone. the peavey is basically sold ... because the koch twintone II gives me all i need.

i had the jsx just a few month... really great amp especially the lead sound. i also had another peavey and a marshall - but the only amp that makes me happy at the moment is the koch... fabulous amp, great tones, great concept.

i played a lot of amps the last year and i think the koch fits perfect to my luke and i think even more to the 20th! works great with pedals also... actually i was happy with peavey and marshall and was looking for something like a flexible tone-chameleon like a h&k switchblade for my cover-band... but than i found that great amp, tested it and ordered one at my local store...........i can strongly recommend that amp!!!

the 20th is so beautiful - i could look at that guitar for hours..... :)

Thomas,

The switchblade is a great amp and is pretty high on my list (although Pete just became an ENGL dealer so I am hoping that he might have semi decent prices for the EL84 Special Edition). I am surprised I don't here more about it. The flexibility of the midi control is amazing and probably better than anything out there except the hi end preamps. It seems to work great with the JP6 too and I believe it would be a perfect match for the 20th.

The 20th Silo is just magic!

Today, I was messing around with my Sub 1, in which I've installed EMG 85s. I was enjoying the EMGs, tweaking my amps, and just having fun.

Then I took out the 20th, played a couple of chords, and had to pick my jaw up from off the floor. :D

The sound is simply beautiful! :)

yeah the sound is so beautiful :) - i just love my luke and the 20th - the perfect combination...
my luke gives me basically every sound i need and it´s always great to play the luke... then i pick up the 20th and it´s something totally different and i am into another sound-or tonal-heaven... and that guitar is sooo beautiful - :)

philip - yeah the engls are great amps - i like the engl blackmore... has a great voicing and a special sound... here in austria and germany a lot of people play engls - they arent cheap but really good amps. maybe i will switch to a midi-control system... at the moment i am happy with a simple setup - i just need a 3channel amp with some delay, a little bit chorus and a tubescreamer (don´t use the tubescreamer that much). please check out the koch amps. this small dutch company makes some fine amps - built like a tank and amazing sounds...!
another good amp is the hughes and kettner duotone! man there are so many good amps... like ebmm-guitars... but at the moment i definately want some more ebmm´s :D thinking of an AL, ASS, Y2D, ... maybe a PET...
