ALOC members, forgive me of my sins. I used to refer to your chosen guitar as ugly, odd, and other unpleasant adjectives. I have changed my ways and seek absolution --- and membership in your ranks.

I got my new AL MM90 hardtail nearly 2 weeks ago and literally played it for the first time this past Sunday night with my band. I am officially a convert. The MM90's rock..... And the neck is fantastic.

So, ALOC members, can I join or will my past transgressions torpedo my chances????

You're in! I too thought the Albert Lee was a ridiculous looking guitar... until I played one.

No hoax, I swear! I just updated the first post with pics. It's a DDII MM90 hardtail acquired from Pete (per his hint) and I'm loving it. I've been lusting after one ever since I played an MM90 a while back. I'm not a fan of maple boards and was debating whether to jump on a DDII or hold out for the RW AL we've been seeing online. At the end of the day, the MM90's made that decision for me.

Thanks guys! I'm pretty excited about it. Coffeemug - it's just a standard MM90 hardtail -- no Peizo.

So, a side story: I remember reading a thread a while back about what reactions AL owners got from other people when first seeing their AL. I was wondering what my bandmates would say on Sunday. The first to speak up was our bassist - "hey, that's cool man". Then our singer - "yeah, that's a cool looking guitar". Then I got a handful of green jokes.

Many have questioned the AL in the past...until they try it and obtain enlightenment.

All is forgiven and please accept the official welcome of the CIC

The ring is being forged and the handbook on its way

I typically play rock, jazz, alternative (what ever the heck that means anymore), blues, and even a little reggae/ska here and there. About the only thing I don't play is metal or country. My band pretty much plays rock/alternative.
