One of these were done a while back, but things change. Gear comes and goes, and we have a good number of new members. Maybe your tastes have changed since the last amp poll.

Humor me and show me what amp brand (head, not cabs) is your main amp currently.

My current was an Eden WT-330, but parted with it and have a Mesa on the way. Once the GK Fusions come out, that will be my main amp.

I'm A-B-Y'ing two bass heads right now through four cabs.

One's an Ampeg B2R and the other is a Gallien-Krueger 700RB modded up to 540w @ 4ohms output.

Thinking about scaling back to a 410 + 115 set up, and getting a GK 1001RB-II head to run them.

I just installed my Ernie Ball/Music Man HD-500 in my main rack, so that's what I chose. Up until now my main amp has been a GK 1001RBII. I'm still testing the waters to see which one will remain in the rack.

Tom. Thats a tough call isnt it. That EBMM HD-500 is such a cool amp.

I have to say that I think the HD-500 sounds a little bit sweeter than the GK. I also like the footswitchable channels and boost. If I can make it sound as good with the band as it does at home (I don't see why it wouldn't), then it's staying in my rack.

I haven't even tried it through my Neo 2x12 yet, although it sounds wonderful through my RBH 1x15. So, during it's workout at practice today, I'm going to run it into both, and see how it does.

I voted "other" on behalf of my Acoustic 370!

I'm currently using a Euphonic Audio iAmp with a matching VL-210B cab. It compliments all three of my EBMM's very well.

In the past, I've also had great results with Trace Elliot, GK, Ashdown, Peavey and Ampeg, either owned or borrowed/provided at a club. Honestly, I haven't run across too many amps that don't sound good with a Ray, Bongo, etc.
