I've seen a lot of talk and a lot of images (Thanx!!) about Blue Dawn, but I have a question. Has anyone ever seen Blue Dawn on like an Axis or Silhouette Special that didn't have a matching headstock??

Has EBMM ever produced a Blue Dawn guitar without a matching headstock??

The only guitar that I can remember seeing a non matching headstock was a Steve Morse.

Is there a difference between what people call Blue Burst and Blue Dawn??

supposedly the only difference is that the blue burst doesnt have the sparkles in it like the blue dawn, but in my opinion the colors are a little different, the bluew dawn is more baby bluish and purply, and the blue burst is like weird. oh yea, im a fanatic for the blue dawn as well, maybe we should petition for mm to make it again.

The Pacific Blue Burst is translucent. I believe that Blue Dawn is solid.

The Pacific Blue is like... "Pacific Blue" :D , with darker blue on the edges.

Morse Blue Burst is a transparent finish fading from more transparent in the center to less transparent on the edges. This finish is currently available only on the Steve Morse model.
Pacific Blue Burst is a dark transparent blue fading to black at the edge. It is a sunburst only in dark blue.
Blue Dawn is an opaque metal flake blue with black on the edge. The sunburst theory applies here as well.

FWIW the black paint on the blue dawn at least is IR transmissive.

Thanx to all for your replies and photos.

Norm, I like the albalony (spelling) pickguard it's a nice contrast with the blue dawn color.

Yah know at first I didn't like Blue Dawn now I seem to thinking about it a lot and loving the color.

I seem to be looking around for one since it's:

A.) Discontinued
2.) SPARLEY!!!!!!

That's amazing that no one has bid on it yet. I would, but after already buying 2 guitars this years, I wouldn't be alive very long to enjoy it! :D

Thanx Tony!!

I've been eyeing that and showed it to my wife. She just looked at me, and I said it could be yours!! I said, you gotta love the color (She's partial to blue and sparkley) and they don't make this color anymore.

I had wished that the dude had a Buy it now and the $799 seemed a little bit steep to me.

Yah Bing, I just got my Axis Sport a little while back it's hard to justify the need for another one. I know that I can find a reason though.

I'm very, very poor player and using the word player is to it's most extreme. I'm still learning and messing around. I try a lot of different types of tabulature, but I can never seem to find something that holds my attention and ability for the whole song. Plus with little ones and work it's really tough to find more than 1/2 or 1 hour a day.

Oh well enough ranting.

What's a good price for something like this??

I know where there's another one brand new for $1100, which is what I bought my Axis Sport for.

Thanx in advance.

Seems like a decent price to me, for a new Axis in a discontinued, popular color.
