Still using my killer badass Luke guitar + toneport + Logic 7, here's my straight rock 90's groove, i miss the old days!
Let's Rock! - i know the name is kinda lame lol, I am not good in naming songs.

btw, is there anybody in here who can give me quick tip for mixing and mastering using logic 7? any help would be much appreciated.

You're right, Ponch. That was crappy!!! :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:D

Seriously, though, that was great . I enjoyed it. Couldn't tell if that was Satriani, Vai, or you.;)

Thanks brother! Luke is definitely worth to try, I've played in a country band before and thank God my band mate didn't have any problem with me played my Luke.

nice work as always. great tone.
Thanks brother , I will keep practice and post some more later on, thanks for your time, much appreciated.:)

Great sound and playing Ponch.

Which amp & cab did you use on the Toneport, was it a preset or did you tweak it yourself?

Best thing to do for mixing and mastering is to pick up a few books on these subjects. The general principles of mixing, setting each instrument in its own eq and aural space can be applied to Logic using it's plug-ins. It helps a lot to have decent monitor speakers and compare your mixes with commercial tracks in the genre you are producing. I'm certainly no expert, but I've learned a lot and there's a lot of good information out there, also online if you search.

Mastering is an art in its own right, again you can learn from reading up on the subject, and there are plenty of companies who can master your tracks for a reasonable fee while you're learning.

Ponch, you are incredible! Not only is the guitar tone exceptional, but your playing is tasty (for example, I like the runs at 2:20 & 2:32). Nice key changes, too.

As they say, tone is in the fingers....but it wouldn't be possible without the Luke. :)

Dude that toally rocked! One quick an easy tip for the drum sounds, parallel compression. It' like the BBE Sonic Maximizer of drum sound enhancement. I have no idea how you set the compressor but I have a couple VST ones and just sampled the presets. Here's a short guide FaderWear Guides - Need a Fat Drum Sound? Parallel Compression Guide I found via the authors post on Andy Sneap - Ultimate Metal Forum There's lots of good info on recording there on Sneaps forum and the guys there are really helpful. Several are studio owners/engineers and of course, Mr Sneap himself frequents. It's also one of the few forums that somehow escapes the teenage mentallity of most forums ( ie: harmony-central.com ).

I know I already said it but your song was really good. Me like.
