Running now about 20-30 hours of gigs and practice, hard playing, for real...and still good tension, rare detunes, sounds the same, perfectly live tone like first day I strung mine Sterling with Coated 5 Slinkies!

These Coated EB strings rules! ;)

I changed the stock slinkies that came on my DDII ray after 2 months of (my) use. It has had coated slinkies for about the same length of time and I don't foresee changing them anytime soon.

They passed the test - these are my new strings!

Milestone. These have lasted 2X the uncoated counterparts and are still going strong.

This is significant economically as the coated strings cost ~2X the uncoated strings.

I'll continue the experiment

At my local dealer price difference is 30%, so I think it's worth for double life time! ;)
