Welcome to the forum Rich. You made a great decision in going with the Stingray over the Sei. The advantage of the Stingray is that it's styling was not designed by crack addicts or by a crayon-wielding toddler with a poo fixation.

Just imagine...

What is even funnier, is that was the Sei I was going to be buying ;) Although I actually love the look of that MM singlecut, but still isnt as gorgeous as the standard shapes.

Rich.

Back to your new bass, Welcome and congrats on the best bass youwill ever own!

I have only been a stingray owner for a few weeks and I tell you I like it better every day which is hard to believe cause I have been jonesing for one for 10 years. The buttercreams are stunning. Enjoy.

I quite like Martin Petersen's designs, with the possible exception of the singlecut. By all accounts Seis are extremely nice basses.

actually Dargie and I were kibitzing after the San Luis Obispo Liver Enzyme Destruction Party AKA Dargies Bdday......we were imagining a butt load of spalted gozinya wood and decided to make a single cut just for you! It will have thirty two frets and be 1/4 tones above the fifth fret and will have a super optical light sensing strap auto leveler....

I think you guys mighta "kibitzed" too hard that night!

Man I sure wish when these people cut up a beautiful tree like that they'd call Scotty or Big Poppa, that wood needs to be on a Ray for myself, not too be selfish, lol.

But instead it went to some frustrated guitar player who probably couldn't get a Job as a guitar Player and now calls himself a bass player and he's got a gig with some New Bad Sounding pop country gig out of Nashville, hehehehe The Bottom line. The wood is Beautiful But Music Man Basses Are Da ****. DJ;)
