Ok so here is the story. long time ago, one of the forumite here got a lot of Axis Super Sport Neck. One of those neck was an all rosewood one.

I ask him when I knew he had one that at the time he will part with that neck to give me a sign, and he did it :D

So I would like to thank again the amazing Beej for his offer

and now you can see the results :p

just an amazing feel with that neck. it still needs some nut adjustment cause now the string are about a mles away from the neck.

But all rosewood neck just rules !!! and of course Jason tooo

I will add the 25th switching later between the blade and piezo switch

wow, that looks nice. I was thinking about doing the same thing with my Green Axis or maybe the Gold... Just don't want to have to buy a RW Axis and take it apart...

did not try yet, the guitar is not playable yet. The strings were on only for the pic (no tension). The nut has to be file

What a beautiful match, congrats! What are you going to do with the original maple neck?

Slav

I will keep it for now but let you know if I decide to sell it

Woah Nelly!! Hold on there!!

Why should the nut have to be filed? It's an ASS neck on an ASS, right? EBMM nuts are beautifully fitted and should never need adjustment. (The guitar can go from beautiful to playable if the nut is a hair's breath too low). If you can't adjust the truss rod and saddles to get your action where it should be, you should call customer service before doing anything. The nut won't be your problem. Don't add it to the list of things to be fixed!

Pardon me, but your ASS looks way way better with the rosewood neck on it. I'm curios if the rosewood may exhibit more or less sustain than the maple? I'm thinking more, since the rosewood is probably harder, possibly more dense.

Actually, I'd be curious to know the source country and species of the rosewood that thesenecks are being crafted with. It looks like East Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia).

Why should the nut have to be filed?
It was a replacement neck that was brand new and never installed. The nut is there but the slots have to be filed initially as part of the first setup. (I've bought a few replacement necks here and there that were the same way.)
