I bought most of my gear at L&M's until I had a bad experience at the Mississauga location.

I drove all the way there from Whitby last week to pick up a 30th Anniversary Stingray which was supposed to be price matched to meet the price at Cosmo. The bass at Cosmo sold and the sales guy at L&M's told me since there was no bass to match against, I could pay sticker price or get lost.

Of course, I "got lost" and bought the same bass the next day from Dave at Club Bass in Toronto. At the discounted price of course.

My point? At least consider the little guy. Club Bass has a good EBMM selection and the prices seem to be less than Steve's, L&M and Cosmo. Case in point? The 20th Anniversary SR5 he has is $200+ less than the others.

I have no affiliation with Club Bass, I just buy all of my Sadowsky and Ernie Ball gear from them now as they are great to deal with.

I seriously considered club bass and even went there to try a Lakland while I was comparingbBut the SR5 at steves was the right price and the right time.

Dave had half a dozen nice EBMM basses in stock when I visited him a month ago. But he was demeaning and condesending to me with every question that I asked him. He must have been having a bad day, but I won't be going back.

L&M's Bloor St store had a beautiful SR5 in Vintage Sunburst with Matching headstock and maple neck. It had a Black Pearloid pickguard. Beautiful combination. Think i'll go by and see if it's still there. If it is, It just might end up being mine. But i'm still going to Steve's.
