Well, I've only been on the forum for less than a week and the "addiction" has definitely kicked in. The combination of a day off work and a nice bonus last month (and a Les Paul Custom to P/X - too heavy to play for long so it had to go) has resulted in the purchase of this baby...

I tell you these pictures don't do it justice, the top is one of the best non-quilts I've ever seen. The neck is also nicer than it looks in the pics and it feels great (of course). It's quite heavy for an Axis, definitely more than my hardtail, and I've already stuck a d-tuna on.

What this means is that from now on ROUGH JUSTICE gigs will feature me and Tim with our main and back-up axes in a row - Axis times four on stage! Must get a pic of that at Saturday's gig.

Dude - you knew it had to happen sooner or later. The guys at Strings & Things were very helpful and pointed me in the right direction for this beauty. They also gave me some pointers to a gorgeous soon-to-be-available tobacco sunburst quilt - watch this space! Time to PX the Dean/Ibanez/Charvel/Hamer (but not Stripey).

Nice snag Stoner and welcome aboard.

I think you have spoken to Machinehead recently......

Jeff got 3 new Musicman guitars in on Fri and two have already sold.

The third is a LE 06 JP - which I'm looking at tomorrow.

Yeah - this new Axis came from Machinehead in Hitchin (140 mile round trip, but worth it). I nabbed the pics off their website. Like you say, they only got it in on Friday, you can't hang around with guitars of this quality! Bunch of great guys at MH, excellent service and good prices.

Hi Stoner

Presumably if you play with Tim then we are not a million miles apart (I'm in Sunbury).

Nice Axis. I have a trans red so I know how good they are. That one looks great (I love the way Machinehead photograph their guitars).

See you around!:D

Very nice Stoner...is that new Axis a cherry burst or honey burst? (amber to trans red or amber to light brown?). Looks gorgeous either way.

Axis' are the prettiest guitars!!

Here is a pic of my latest Axis in action with ROUGH JUSTICE last weekend. Please note that the green towel is resting on a wooden post - there isn't anyone underneath it trying to "distract" me from rocking!

Glad you told us about that. I nearly had flashbacks of cheesy Police Academy movies...:D

Edit: Am I the only guy who just wears a t-shirt to a gig? :)

Me and Tim have an awesome selection of loud shirts to wear at gigs. Recently we've been wearing contrasting "Sammy Hagar" and "NO SAMMYs" t-shirts. My fave shirt is this "Wayne (Charvel) Guitars" one...
