This newer 4 band active/passive preamp is definitely the Swiss army knife of bass technology. I love it.yep. this is non-bongo territory

Tangerine will definately stand out in the crowd! Will you buy a new hat band in tangerine to match the bass???![]()
One thing I've noticed, by the way, is that the Bongo seems more resonant in a straight acoustic sense. I just played the BA for about an hour unplugged, and it doesn't give quite the same "alive in my hands" feeling that the Bongo does. I attribute this to the obvious major difference in body wood.
That's not to say the BA is "dead" by any stretch of the imagination… but the first time I picked up a Bongo I was really struck by this particular characteristic.
I thought about this over the weekend; while the white pearl finish is stunning in person, orange basses are just flat out cool...
I mean, why would one need more than one orange bass?

I started to look at it, but had to turn away. I got my sun glasses out and was able to see itIs that a roasted neck, or just beautifully aged??? A little much for me colorwise, but I love the neck!!!!!
