Okay, it's a lousy pic, but at least, you know it exists.

Damn, Rob! They look good together! It looks like you might put them in a hotel room (No-Tell Motel) and see if they multiply. Thanks to you Rob for your patience in this deal......we had to overcome a coupla hurdles to get this wound up, but all is cool in the end. treat her nice.......I will retire to my box of Kleenex now! Thanks, everyone.

Congrats. classic Albert and a LE. you have 2 Al's?

Yup. I now have two.

two this week rob??

Actually, I think it's more like 2 in 2 months.

At this point, I'm giving the edge to the MM90s. It's kind of hard to compare, though, because of the other features (i.e., rosewood vs. maple; trem/piezo vs. hardtail).

Wow Rob ... cornering the AL market there ... impressive stuff

Well, I had always wanted an AL with rosewood. So, I even got the MM90 AL to kind of warm up the sound a bit, because I didn't think I would have a chance at a rosewood AL so soon.

the AL is really a great guitar and it is very rewarding to see people start to like it.

Glad to join the bandwagon, BP! Been after an AL for a long time. Now, I got two! :D If I'm not careful, I might get tempted to get a BFR! These guitars kind of sell themselves when you have one.

It looks like you might put them in a hotel room (No-Tell Motel) and see if they multiply.

If only it were that simple. :D

now doesn't the LEAL look just great in the flesh?

Yes, it does, Spud. It definitely does.

Man, I love PBB on the AL. That's such a classy color. And the PG combo is unique -- cool combo. I love the stealth AL too. That's a keeper. Not too many RW FB's out there on AL's.

Thanks. I love PBB on the AL as well. So, that's why I just had to go with the color. The other color that I was really into was Black Cherry Burst. So, it was going to be one of those two. Last year, I went with Trans Ruby for my JP BFR, and my JP6 is Pearl Redburst. So, I wanted to go with a non-red color here. I had seen Blue Dawn with Abalone, and I thought it was cool. So, I thought why not Abalone with PBB? So, Foggy kindly posted a pic of a PBB SR5 with Abalone when I asked for a pic with that combo. That pic sealed the deal for me. I thought the combo was a good blend of all the blues and greens in the PG with the bluish-green shades in PBB. I'm happy with the combo. The Abalone is better in person than I imagined it would be.

The 2006LE AL was a guitar I fell in love with at the EBMM Dallas Bash when I went with some other Knuckleheads to one of the Guitar Centers there. It was just a matter of time to get both the money and the opportunity to get one. The rosewood board on the AL is a great thing, I think. So, I had to jump on it.

When I ordered my ASS last November, I was really debating whether to go with PBB or Black Cherry Burst. BCB won out in the end, but I've always wondered if I made the right choice. Seeing pictures like yours doesn't help
