I saw that one for $2500 from an eBay dealer and the guy wouldnt move on the price. I also asked about the pickups since the neck cream coil is in the wrong position. All of the Axis' I have and seen have the black coil next to the fretboard. He never got back to me. Congrats.

EVH used to spin his neck 'buckers round on his EBMM guitars. Probably to get some Peter Green mojo or something like that!

How can you EVER expect a 1/3 reduction? How much do you really think dealers make on guitars?

All of my Axis' were bought for under $1k in excellent condition (2 are early ones with flush neck plates). I think $2500 was way too high to start for a 1998 model. $1500 is ok if you are willing to pay for it. It's an awesome top. Congrats and enjoy an awesome guitar.

I agree with you if it was up for $2500 then he was way out considering you lucky fellows can pretty much get a BFR for that over there and to knock off $1000 would be considered an insult over here in the UK.

Although it is a lovely top!
