Thanks for the heads-up Steve. I'll be looking forward to the new record. My only Toto CD is The Seventh One. Oddly, while I never really followed the band, that CD has been in my "If-I-Had-To-Leave-The-Planet-Tomorrow-And-Only-Take-20-CDs-These-Are-The-Ones-I-Would-Take List". Great songs, hooks, musicianship. The works. Gonna go load up on some of your solo work. After all, we're all entitled to giving ourselves a X-Mas gift too.

Have a great Holiday.

Luke man Happy Holidays this season to you and yours. I'll have to wait until I get home to check out Trev's stuff man, but if he's a chip off the old block then it should be great.

Luke, do you have a personal favorite that you made?

Thanx, glenn |B)

Luke you are great to post here, we all appreciate it so much!!!!

+1! I've not met Luke, but his posts on here do make me giggle and smile and I've heard very good things from la Tiffles whilst she was with me. The Dallas pics looked a blast. Hopefully if there's another Knucklehead bash that everyone makes it to I may be able to make my way over the pond and say hi.

Will definately check out Trev's stuff too - though I get a bit confused as my other half is called Trev and plays guitar... always have to do a double take when I read... anyhow I'll stop rambling and go and check on my brownies in the oven :D

did I mention..

That I only post in the forum whilst in the nude with Hostess Ding Dongs super glued ALL over my body?
Its a Yuletide thing we do at my house. hahahaha

Hey, thanks for the kind words. I like to rave about music, not mine just in general. I find all us "musos" have alot in common. I like ALL kinds of music. My iPod would scare most people in its vast array of styles and era's. And.. as I have 2 kids that are adults, I have been thru just about every kind of "new" music in the last 20 years as well. I used to have to take my daughter to every Hanson show in the LA area. hahaha
I still give her sh*t about it now thats she's 21. hahaha Trev was into KORN and all that stuff, now heavy into classic rock.
Anyway, as I do have some time off before the start of the year I will be checkin in so may your yultide log always be firm and your hanauka bush always be waxed. haha

Hey guys,
Thanks for makin my morning. Very nice Xmas present. I appreciate the good vibes and I am wishing you all the very best holiday and New Years ever!!!
Life is good, my daughter is comin back from germany after a 6 month internship and my family is gettin together and I will be spending new years with Big Poppa and family and thats always fun.

Christmas is always a great time to catch up with family and friends and get together and catch up, eat alot of food, and drink alot of beer. :p

I am starting a new solo record Jan 8th and I am looking forward to that. Its #5 I believe, if you dont count the stuff I did with Carlton or Lobotomy's.
Should be fun and I will keep ya posted.

I'm assuming it's the album with Jeff Scott Soto, that cat has got a set of pipes on him, he's unbelievable, and a hell of a nice guy. I can't wait for the release of this album, l know it will be awesome.

Have a great Christmas Luke, and god bless.

Scott.

I get the feeling that Soto will be very busy with Journey this coming year.....
If Steve Augeri doesn't return.

I get the vibe that this will be a True Luke solo outing. I haven't seen JSS' name mentioned yet in all of Luke's updates on who is working on this Album. I would think
he would be writing with JSS if he were involved but he isn't as far as I have seen.
He has been writing with Randy Goodrum, his son Trevor and Phill Soussan.
He has also mentioned writing with Stan Lynch and Rodney Crowell.....
and that some of the players will be Abe Laboriel Jr.,Lee Sklar, Jeff Babko and Steve Weingart ..:D

Yes, you AND Chuck "Psycho" Ward! It would be fun to cram the two of you into a photo booth together... :D

Luke, I'd love to know how you straightened out Trev's deal.. I have Donald Passman's books, and they really beat you up with the reality of that business.
I have always enjoyed writing songs as well as playing, but I don't think I could ever sign my life away like those labels insist.

Damn!!!! oh well, l'd love to hear JSS and Luke team up for an album and tour, it would be awesome.

I'm not a fan of Journey whatsoever, so l'd much rather JSS give that a rest and join Luke, but it's up to him and Luke.

But a new Luke solo album will be nothing but brillant, so who am l to complain, and Luke is an exellent singer as well.

Scott.
