I recently put a fresh set of neon green Slinkys on my SR5 for the 2 gigs we had this weekend. I must say that these are the only strings I will be using from now on. I was formerly a R*tos*und user for many years. Can anyone tell me if these are nickel or stainless? I really love these strings. The low B was nothing but thunder on that bass. These were also my first gigs back on a 5 string in nearly 8 years and I won't be going back to the 4 string. The SR5 is an amazing bass and I'm very fortunate to own one from June of '89.

I love Slinkys, too! Yep, they are indeed nickel strings. EB does make some stainless Slinkys, but they aren't in the brightly colored packages.

+1 on the Slinky love...

This Friday is my Bongo's first birthday, and it'll get a nice, minty-fresh set of Regular Slinkys just like the ones it came with to celebrate.

I did have a set of TI Superalloys on there just because I had them handy, but they're no better than good old Slinkys...they just cost twice as much. It's EBMM from here on out!

I just love the feel of the strings. I've never had luck with nickel strings before either as they always seem to go dead after a few gigs. These strings sound and feel great. I don't know what took me so long to try them!:D

I love them. I have been really digging the hybrids as of late. We need a 5 string hybrid set... BP?
