another truss rod ?

My truss rod adjustment wheel seems to be a little tough on one of my guitars when I turn it clock wise I cant move it but if I go CW its fine but the distance is not right very high .. is my guitar telling me the truss rod is already at the hoghest point? or is it just bound?

Use some muscle on it...I have NEVER seen one maxed out. Go on...do it. Now.

Will do I was too scared to put muscle into it ...all I could think was pop (a sound of cracking)...
