I'm in a band with a student at my academy who writes her own stuff and has a really nice voice. We've formed a band around her and are now getting out there and getting some shows lined up. We're doing mainly covers so she can get experience and then insert one of her originals into the setlist where it makes sense. I recently recorded this original of hers where she sang, I played acoustic and the bassist put his part down with some nice flat-wound strings. :) This is sort of a Norah Jones vibe, so enjoy. :)

Thanks everybody! She is good and she should only get better. She just turned 16 so she's got plenty of time to gain experience and improve.

Wolf550, I'm not sure which verb was used. The guy who mixed and mastered used the reverbs in Logic 8 and we just sent files back and forth.

the24thfret, yep been here for years and love it. :) As close as it is, I don't get out to CH too much. I'm either in Garner or in N. Raleigh at the academy for the most part. But I'll probably do lots more traveling as we get Caroline booked in various places.
