basically story is, recently i bought my 30th and because i carry it around quite often from point A to B, i wanna get a new hard case for it cos i wanna cherish the limited edition leather box.
i live in sydney and because australia is so much more limited in brands and products, i dunno what kinda case i shud go for, im not willing to spend a crapload on it but i want the necessary protection.

any suggestions??

Best cases you can buy in Australia are Hiscox. Light, and offer great protection. But they're not cheap, around $250. I've got three of them, and they're the best ABS cases I've seen. Otherwise, any old SKB or Gator rectangular bass case will do the job, for around $120.

I just put my Sterling LE back in it's case and was thinking the same thing, too nice to haul around. I feel bad enough taking the bass to gigs. The guys in the band don't take care of their own cases so I keep mine away. I'm leaning toward a flite case or EBMM abs if I can find one in good shape.

Sorry to hi-jack and good luck.
