Wondering if everyone is OK down there.

Not sure if anybody is near where it made landfall. If you are, hope all is as well as it can be.

I think one of the forumites lives in Cairns, which is in the path. I understand the strength of the cyclone has weakened, so it won't be a destructive Tracey (or Katrina) style storm. Gav and Tiffles are at least 1000 miles south of there.

We're well out of the way thank goodness.

Last time I looked at the weather report, I think we might be in for some rain from it though.

I'm not too sure which EBer lives in Cairns.

Innisfail and Mission Beach seem to have copped it so not a populated area really. The banana crop has been decimated tho'. And like in Nawlins it might be the rain to come that does more damage. . . .
