Hello everybody! Sorry if this is out of place. Feel free to move....

I managed to get a new in box Tech21 Bass DI as a debt repayment from a friend.

I have ZERO experience with this sort of thing. I only ever use a chorus pedal, and even that is rare.

I have begun tinkering with it using my Ray4, but it almost always wants to overload my Markbass amp.

I've set the EQ flat. But it still seems to be too much.

Ok, then...... Make with the opinions!! :D

If there's no input gain knob, or if lowering it doesn't work, the only remaining option I can think of is to put an attenuator between the DI box and the bass head.

Why do you want to use the DI in the first place, btw?

On the bddi, drive and level correspond to each other. The more drive you dial in, the more you will have to turn the level down. It's a good pedal especially live and it does go well with all my EBMM Basses. I don't have a SBMM though...
