I'm looking to move by September 1st. What I'm looking for is a good 2x12 combo with a good clean and a good dirt channel.

I currently have a 3 channel dual recto and 4x12. Beng that my living sitch is changing I don't need that much amp anymore.

Any howwww.....here's my question.

Any of you guys try the following amps....?

Krank 2x12 Combo
Mesa F-100 2x12
Mesa trem O Verb (If I can get a dece one used)
Koch Multitone 2x12 (might be out of range)
Naylor Dual Drive 60

A trem-overb (dual) 2X12 is a very nice way to go...very nice, you should know since you have the head version.

I forgot about the Mesa Lonestar too. That thing has some kick ass features.

Man, I used to own a Mesa Trem-O-Verb. Unbelievable backbreaker. Sounded great, but my back wasn't very happy with me.

I had a chance to try the Koch and was REALLY impressed with it.

I found a dude with Koch in upstate NY. Free shipping. I'm going to test out a Lonestar today and see what the deal is there. Hopefully my recto will be gone inside of a week or two.

More compact and such is the rig de choice for me at this point, hopefully I'll get some good mileage out of it. If I need more speakers I can always bone up for a 2x12 extension cab I guess.

get a used Nomad. The Lonestar is also a very good choice.

Not a big Nomad fan, kinda muddy and I'm looking to simplify. I can also setup midi control with this evetually with ease.

Ok so the Lonestar was a steming pil of poop. (yes I said stemming pil! ). The clean channel was unsurpassed. The dirty channel had more flop than Vlade Divac in an entire season. Very disappointed. That means the F series or the Koch is what I'm after, and I think it's gonna be the Koch.

Get an Engl! I have an Engl Soverign 4 channel 1 x 12" open back combo with a 1x12 closed extension cab. Nice portable rig, Fender twin cleans and ballsy drive sounds.

have you thought about keeping the head and putting it on top of a small 212? -

to be honest, i did that before, but at lower volumes I just don' get the sounds I want. That recto tone is kinda one trick ponyish.

The Koch blows it away in almost any facet. I've entertained a few offers on the head so I'm not far off.

I meant it more as sarcasm. If they built it into a combo with 2 12's I'd be straight. But the cab, head and everything else Ineed to lug and store at this point is killing me. Plus I'm looking for a bit of a different tone these days as well.


The 3 channel IS pretty versatile tho. That's what made it nice.

Ummm no they don't Hahahaha. That's a Trem-O-Verb, and beat up at that. I also like how the guy put that logo from a Mesa extension cab on the face. I'm talking straight 2x12 Recto Combo. The single Recto wasn't so bad, but it's only a 1x12. I had one of those and it sounded sweet going down to tape.

The Fender FM series has a good 2x12 combo. Pumps out 100 watts and its only $300!!!

Well...since you OBVIOUSLY didn't like my other suggestion. I have also played through a Marshall AVT275 that sounds pretty sweet.
