Don't mean to lay a sob story on you guys, but I had a nasty flood in my studio, a lot of stuff is wrecked. Luckily I had some of my EBMM guitars on a gig with me when it happened, and the rest were up on a wall.

Anyway, one of the items to get wrecked was my Dunlop 535Q Wah. I never really loved that wah, but it did the job. Anyone have the EB wah? I have the EB Volume pedal and I LOVE it. Is the wah just as good?

Thanks,
-Richie

If you had to say Point A is a good old Crybaby and Point B were a vintage Vox Wah. I'd say the EBMM Wah was smack in the middle of the two tonally. So it covers ground well. But the design and the features are amazing! Definitely worth it.

I usually lurk but I must endorse the EB wah pedal. I love mine. It is sturdy, responsive and sounds great thru my tube amp.

Thanks for the info guys. I will go with this wah. Is the pedal resistance similar to the volume pedal? I never liked how floppy and loose the dunlop felt.

Richie,
Yes, they feel very similar, I'm guessing they share the same mechanism. It feels very firm and solid. Also the EB wah has a little more travel than most other wahs. I sold a Budwah to get the EB and have never missed it.

When it comes to my effects i without a doubt am the last guy to use a wah pedal... but i've always had one on my board for some reason... probably JUST IN CASE... and i've had the cry babies, vox and they would come and go and i'd change them when i'd find a screaming deal on one... just to see if i could find something i liked....

UNTIL

I picked up a EB WAH... this thing is incredible and the tone is actually incredibly good... now i'm not going to say i'm always using it but i know that when i have used it it's been incredible to use and hasn't failed me yet...

I'll add my "me too" to what everyone is saying. Like Fred, I sold the Bud wah and replaced with the EBMM, never looked bad.

I took your advice and got the EB Wah. I used it on a gig last night. This thing blows away every wah I've ever owned. I rarely use wah, but I think I may start using it more often now. With my 535Q I always felt like it wasn't doing enough and that my sound would get lost whenever I turned the wah on. With this, it cut right through the mix. It was incredible.

Thanks for the good advice guys!

I always used a Crybaby and then switched to a Morley with a volume pedal built in that I really like. I did not even know that EB made a Wah until seeing it turn up in a lot of top players rigs they cover in the magazines. I must say it has perked my interest to hear it now since none of the 3 players rigs I saw them in were EB players.
