My purple Axis (with D-tuna, otherwise stock) for your Sil. Special? The Axis has a few dings on the back and a teeny-tiny chip of paint missing near the treble-side trem post. Taking that into consideration, I would take an even trade for the right Sil. Special. Preferably ash or alder body, 22 fret neck, 3 single coils, and a trem.

Tell me what you've got!!

I can provide plenty of references...

Washington DC....interested? Whatcha got?

Oh, and before the inevitable "why are you getting rid of it question" come up :D, I've got two EVH's, so the Axis is fairly redundant. And I don't have any single coil guitars! (Unless you count P90s)

Tragic!! ;)

I have a custom order sunburst Sil Spl that is absolutely gorgeous and sounds killer. I was thinking about the trade but I don´t think I can go through with it. I do know of a lime green Sil Spl that is HSS but doesn´t have a trem. Decisions decisons . . .

Hardtail would be a no-go for me, as I've already got a hardtail Albert. I want the Sil to have that springy trem warble.

What are the specs of your Sil? Anything I could do to sweeten the deal? Let me know what you want/need!

Specs on mine are : Sil Spl, Sunburst, white pickguard SSS, MM hardshell case. Killer birdseye neck, mpl/mpl. 1999/2000 ( I can´t remember when I bought it) and it has the recessed neck plate. Outstanding guitar - especially when you consider that I ordered it sight unseen and it really is the base model guitar from MM. Shows to go ya that not everybody has the same quality control or standards - something I take for granted from EBMM.

p.s. - I don´t think you will find anything but an Alder bodied 22 fret Sil Spl because AFAIK - that is all there has ever been. The Silhouette on the other hand has 24 frets but I think it has only been offered in Alder as well. Silhouette´s have always been HSH AFAIK too.

Ahh, gotcha. That's good to know. So I can just look for a Sil Spl and not worry much about specifics. Yours sounds sweet. I can't pry it from your hands, eh?? :)

Actually, one of the big selling points of Silhouettes originally was the "snap-in/snap-out" pickguards - all the wiring was connected by a mini plug so you could pull one guard and slap in another about as quick as it would take you to unscrew the one and screw down the other - NO SOLDERING :D I've seen Silhouettes in every pickup configuration imaginable with the possible exception of just a single bridge pickup, but I'm sure that S/S/S, H/S/H, H/S/S and H/H have all been available at one time or another...
