He didnt sell it. I inquired, but couldnt work anything out. I nicely tried to explain that $1200 would be hard to get for a used StingRay 5.

Yeah, I know. I was just giving him a little dig. Every time I went to TB's gear for sale page and did a search, that bass came up. They won't bring anywhere near $1200 used.

While my SR 5 isn't for sale or trade I will say you couldn't buy it for less than 2000 dollars. It done proved to me it is worth it.

You guys read TalkBass too?? I priced it a little high....If it didnt sell Id keep it...That was the agreement I made.... I lowered it to $1100.... I'm just not thrilled with the sound... Maybe a Basslines preamp or Basslines pickup with Aguilar preamp would sound nice.... The B just doesnt sound as solid as I hoped.... Mobay...I'll take it email or pm to get your address...Thank you very much....

Once again Will, I learned the hard way that getting top dollar for USED gear is impossible. Youre looking at a used value of around $850.

You can buy great heaps of used Stingray 5s day in and day out for 800-850. I myself have done it many, many times.

If someone offered you 1100 bucks for a bass you're not thrilled with, you should have LEPT at the deal.

Seriously.
