I'd like a Les Paul "replacement" guitar Right now I see Strat-like (Silo) and Shredding dream guitar (JPM) but no fixed bridge infinite sustain models.
Forgot to add that this would not be a JPM of course... and yeah, I know it off-subject then haha
well who would have thought a PRS would like better with a single cut(imo).Im not saying thats what they should do but I would be curious to see how it looks, you never know.
well, other companies always kept the base model the same, and changed little things. like steve vai anniversairies.. or the ibby jpm anniversary (hoshinos anniv) they has the same paint scheme.. but an awesome flame top, and stained the colors... vai has acrylic guitars.. but the body / neck are always the same, trem, frets. its the look that seems to change. remember its not that john needs / wants new things; he just would have them change that to the regular models.. like the pickups.. its the speical run that EB and JP do and get to have some fun with.
You know what i thing would be sweet.. if they licensed / bought the old Ibanez graphic and put that on the EBMM in a mystic dream / irridescent sorta deal. or even some other super irredescent paint job. maybe leds in the neck?
jp seems to be digging the dark colors and all that, so sadly i don't think a maple FB will be avail.
so is this guitar gonna be a year long production, a limited 1000 piece, or something like the dargie that you can order only for one month in the summer? (will it be introduced at namm?)
(i must figure out how i will aquire one)
I opened my mailbox today and was shocked to find I had a check for some work I had done but had been told I would only get half of what I was initially promised. I guess they came to their senses and decided to pay me the full amount. Now the question is do I wait to see what the 10th Anniversary looks like and if it's available left handed, or do I buy an Axe-Fx? Which ever one I choose it will be my last big purchase for a couple years.
Here's a bump for this thread so we can see how we did.
Obviously, the JPX is not too far off in shape from the BFR JP. So, anyone who guessed that the shape wouldn't change much was correct. The people who guessed chambers would be a feature were correct. The people who felt the woods would remain the same were correct. We who guessed hardtail were wrong. We apparently have the same pickups and the same HH configuration, but we have new switching. So, anyone who guessed HH and that there would be some sort of new switching system was on the right track. The black hardware people got their wish. I don't think anyone guessed that there would just be the one finish. I don't think that anyone guessed right on color. That was a fun discussion.
