I'm new. I've never bought a guitar that I didn't play first but in this case I made an exception. If she's half as nice as she is good looking we should be able to get along just fine.

I became attracted to this forum when I was about to place and order and the Return of the Rosewood PDN came out. I have otherwise found this to be a fairly level-headed forum, making this the only forum to which I belong.

What is funny, though, is that the Petrucci models attract so many players and forum members, but yet they are the MMs I don't want to play (now the armada and majesty are on top of that). This is not because of quality, of course, but instead the fact that the small nut width is one of the things that really attracts me to MM guitars, other than the naked necks and quality craftsmanship (which the Petruccis have, so less relevant)

I'm rather new here too. Our MM collection grew real quick last year when GC gave us one fabulous deal after another. There were other factors involved, like when they got a second Dark Lord in and we didn't want to miss out.
The 'image' factor is interesting too. I just couldn't get past the Albert Lee's for the longest time until I spotted this one:

Once I took him home and spent some time with him, I realized just how incredible these guitars are!
Seems a lot of people dis on the Majesty on looks alone, but when you start actually playing one, it all makes sense.
I've also come to realize that when I'm actually playing a guitar, all I see is the edge of the neck, so all the 'looks' of an instrument, whether fancy or plain, classic or crazy, are moot. All that matters then is the feel, comfort, sounds and inspiration of said guitar...

btw, I'm very honored to be a part of this family now ;)

Not really a new member here, but you'll probably be seeing me share quite a bit more now that I have a new job closer to home and more time. I joined a couple years ago when I got my first JPXI, but was working 2 hours away and life was miserable. I probably have less than 40 hours logged playing it since I got it. Sad, I know. Things are looking up now though! New koa on the way with a Majesty most likely in my future!

I joined this year after purchasing my first MM, the HSH Reflex Game Changer. During the shopping process, I found it helpful to skim the discussions for MM technical info, and subsuently have enjoyed the banter on general guitar tips, artists, etc. I find this forum stands out among others for a few reasons: (1) Members have been very welcoming; (2) focused discussion on MM-related guitarish content; (3) Generally polite conversations among members and about other brands/bands/styles; (4) The members are respectful to use PG-rated language and post appropriate content. Thanks, everybody for making it a positive experience! This forum does contribute to my positive image of EBMM and makes me more likely to buy more stuff.

For all the Facebook keyboard warrior Majesty hate, that guitar brought more new members here than well, than, just about anything ever. I get the impression that new LIII onwers are not shy to sign up either.

Im a scottish keyboard warrior..Im going to paint mine in blue woad, and declare.."Ya can take my fenders, and ma gibsons, but ya'll nae take ma Majesty!!!!

I cannot believe the number of spiteful comments on facebook,in regards to the Majesty..The idiots saying,JP go back to Ibanez..
Thats the problem with new and different, people are stuck in the past
I cannot wait to get mine!!

This has always been a great forum for info and the fact that you can talk with some of the folks at EBMM. I think that is really great! I left for a time because I had a couple of BFRs that I wasn't really all that pleased with back when. But....coming back now with 2 new EBMMs....one I have and one on order. I've been using them since the first EVH model came out and I've had many of them in between that time. Glad that I really got a beauty in my current JP12 7 string. Looking forward to my Neptune Luke III with the roasted neck and fretboard!

Yes, this is a wonderful forum. It's a place where we really get familiar with each other. Having access to ebmm staff is pretty amazing - they are always so helpful, as are the mods here. I've met some really great guys and I am so thankful to ebmm for hosting this forum.

I'm a member of a few other forums and this one is by far the best. The mods are fair. No one bickers. People genuinely seem to love guitar playing and music. Good stuff.

Hi -

I'm new here too, and I just........what? I'm not new???? OK.

Anyways, just wanted to chime in and say welcome to all the new members! It's great to have you guys here. I also see lots of comments about the friendly atmosphere around here and how it compares to other forums. And that is definitely true! But what keeps me coming here are the fantastic guitars.

After many years I finally found a home in the Albert Lee models. I always thought the shape was COOL! Yes - I totally loved it from my first glimpse of the Jetsonesque body. I was just never too keen on single coils (and as a product of the hair metal 80s, I believe I am excused for this youthful transgression). I have now done a 180 and both my ALs sport singles (one SSS and one MM90). But the necks, oh, the necks! (excuse while I go be by myself for a moment). Yes - superb build quality and finishing work - so many reasons to love these guitars - but I digress.

Welcome to the forum AND to the EBMM guitar owning community! As a side note, if you are looking for an amp forum with a similar pleasant experience, try the Dr. Z forum - also stacked with tons of great members and unbelievably helpful with all sorts of amp questions.
