Steve and the guys took the stage at 9:00 and played for almost an hour 45 minutes. What a tremendous show. He is just such an amazing player and seems so genuine as a person. That smile he cracks at certain high points within a song is priceless. The tunes that I remember that they played (I'm more in tune with his old stuff than his newer material) are Ice Cakes, Cruise Control, and Go For Baroque. He played 5 tunes off the new CD. He played three guitars: his #1, a new purple burst model for a few tunes and a nylon string guitar for 2 songs where he did a duet with Dave on 2 classical pieces, one of which was Go For Baroque. I've seen him one other time about 15 years ago with T Lavitz on keys. This show was equally as good if not better. The venue was small and intimate. I was 10-15 feet from the stage standing on a chair against one wall. Attached is a photo (albeit not very good) but at least a visual for you all.
See ya,
Mike

I was completely floored. It was a privilege! I am still bouncing off the walls.......

And after the amazing performance they stuck around to sign shirts and talk to folks. Dave kindly signed my bass! How cool is that!?!

Definitely the best concert experience I have ever had!!!!

I saw them in New Haven CT. Excellent show! I've seen Steve play with the Dregs, Deep Purple and SMB, everytime has been great.

I also had the pleasure of meeting him and Van Romaine after the show. Both my wife and I were VERY impressed with his tact and demeanor in regards to addressing the fans. A total class act. I know a few fulltime businessmen who could learn a few things.

I'd love to see Steve live, one of my fav players and a decent guy to boot -- his humility parallels his talent. I once owned his (version 1) sig model. I swear the first time I heard "Ghost Wind" my mouth fell agape for the entire song, stunning writing, perfect execution.

I saw Steve and the guys in NYC! I still cant dtop thinking about the show. All three of them are absolutely insane at their instruments. The material was great and the sound was fantastic from where I was standing. I saw Steve five years ago, but this was really my favourite preformance I've seen. The interplay between Steve and Dave is just perfect...they were meant for each other musically!!! Van was great too, and his energy backing these guys was brilliant. They all looked like they were having a blast and I just couldnt help smiling the whole time. Steve is really a genius on guitar and that is the reason why I am still playing today and also why I play EBMM guitars :D.
I took my parents, brother, friend and girlfriend...and they ALL loved the show. Even my mom who has NO idea about music liked the show a lot.

That was a great show, and the guys were very humble and down-to-earth afterwards!

Saw them in Toronto and New Haven (wished I could have seen the NYC gig).

New Haven was killer. Had a great view from side stage hanging out with Tommy, Pete & co.

Every time I see him he blows me away. I can't believe he pulls that stuff off live. Unbelievable. Same with Van and Larue ... those guys aren't human.

Beej,
Totally agree with the "not human" comment. It's unfathomable what these guys are able to pull off on their respective instruments. My wife was asking me how good he is and I'm like "well I could quit my day job and do nothing but practice and play for 10 years and I would not be able to approach the capability that Steve has".
