Anyone ever try a MarkBass Micromark? What did you think? Good practice amp/amp to learn on? Keep in mind that I'm a skinny-stringer with zero bass experience.

Rob, if you can, hold out for the Minimark - it has 2 6in speakers, with the other "magic" knob. It can also be wired up to some other cab to get more wattage out of it. I have unofficially been told that it will be about 60% more than the Micromark - well worth it in my opinion for the extra wattage, features, and longevity of it.

As soon as they land over here (think it's a June time release) I'll be nabbing one. Micromark WAS what I wanted, but with the Mini being identical in size (just twice the height) I reckon it'd be perfect for what I want.

Go to the markbass site MARKBASS , click on the news section, and you'll see it there. Also, if you go through the NAMM 2007 pics (there's one of Sterling in there with the red F1), you can see a pic of a Micro and a Mini side by side.

Anyhow, enough of me :)

Thanks, Azzy. I'll definitely be able to wait. No rush. Just thinking about the future.

Ok! Another gear recommendation from BP. Fantastic. Thanks, BP.

Yup, that one(2x6) was really good also.I tried them both with a SR4HH and it was super easy to get a great tone out of them.....I wonder if that 2x6 would be loud enough for the cover gigs i've been doing?I know my back would thank me for it:p
