Has anyone put the Buzz Feiten tuning system on their Axis??

Did it make a difference in an already kick butt guitar??

cheers!

Regarding the "Feiten" system, I personally studied it at length several years ago and I concluded that it is NOT credible!!!

I'm not saying it's a "scam", however, anyone who put's reasonable time into investigating it thoroughly will only come to the same conclusion as I.

My advice to anyone considering this is to "first open your eyes and think a little bit"!!!)

See, what did I tell you!:)

So, TNT, you're saying it doesn't make a guitar's intonation better? I must respectfully disagree if so. I have owned guitars with and without the Buzz Feiten system and I can tell a difference when playing them, even compared to some of the "sweetened" tuning options out there. I would rank the Buzz Feiten system right up there with Gerard Melancon's proprietary system in terms of intonation improvement on the guitar.

Is it perfect, no, but it is a huge improvement overall!

That's correct, it does NOT make a guitar's intonation better!!

Because of the arduous hours I put into it years back, I'm not going to go back to "that place and time". And, I did review some of the patent(s) pendings.

It is safe to say however, I am SO thankful that I did not do that to any of my guitars.

But if I may take a moment: If in fact you want to Feitenize your guitar it starts with a premise of an an EXACT scale measurement (e.g., 25 1/2 inches)!!

In other words if I have a 25 1/2 scale guitar (stay with me), the moment I adjust any of the saddles, and slide it up or back (to intonate), the scale changes!! In fact, no guitar, even brand new, will be an "exact" scale distance, especially when every string saddle is in a different location.

It is not now 25 1/2. So, why am I going to "cut" on my guitar based on a scale system that is predicated on an "exact" scale distance??

If you investigate using the above, as a starting point, you can only come to a similar conclusion.

Your best bet is to just intonate your particular guitar, with your own compromising, by positioning the saddles accordingly. It will be "overall" in tune, and just as good or better than the Feiten System's overall tuning (which is NOT in my opinion a tuning system.):)

Actually let me add that to each his own.....Ive learned one thing...tuning is subjective...just listen to a stell guitarist or sax player!

Whatever system sounds right to your ears is the best system
