get to see the All-Star Benefit Les Paul Tribute Concert on Feb 7 even though it was sponsored by Gibson?
I would have prefered that to the Grammys.
I heard Mr. Lukather was there
From what I understand, Les Paul is quite the character.
Randy Bachman said he had to sneek in to a club in small town Manitoba to see Les Paul and Mary Ford back in 1956. When Randy and Eddie Van Halen met Les Paul in New York during the tour in 1986, Les Paul remembered Randy from the concert back in 1956 and Les told the story to Eddie how he stopped the underage minor from being kicked out of the club and got to sit next to the stage to see the performance. - Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap, C.B.C. Radio 1
BTW if you ever want to hear some really cool stuff about Rock& Roll check out Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap, on C.B.C. Radio 1. He talks about old recroding techniques, guitarists like Link Wray, and talks about his experiences with the industry, touring, etc over the last 40 + years.
