Anyone has ever heard about this Axis?

Music Man AXIS * Premium Custom Shop * Limited Edition

That's what says the seller.

There was a dicussion here earlier about custom shop.... EBMM doesn't really have one.... they make one-off guitars for artists only.... so unless this axis was made for an artist, it's a regular production model.... premium probably refers to premium top.... and it's certainly not one of the recent limited edition runs.

So I think the seller is trying to throw in all those fancy words to boost the price.

The guitar is beatiful though....

Looks like an Axis with a premium top in Honey Burst or Vintage Sunburst to me. Not a limited edition to my knowledge... Nice looking guitar though... ;)

One offs are usually artist models or charity auctions.....this one seems to be a premium top Axis.....

What's with that Cert. of Authenticity? Is that something you get with an upgraded top EBMM? Aren't the neck plates of premium top EBMM's stamped with "premium top" or something to that effect?????

Oh, I forgot to say, "Wow, what a beautiful Axis." 'Cause it is a beaut!!

I forgot to mention that he's selling it 2000€. He wrote that its normal price in France is 3000€ and was produced only for small quantities..... (10 only).
Thanks for your answers. :)

Someone else?

The seller says that this Axis is better in overall quality than anyother MusicMan or Axis. Is it true?

Somehow me thinks the seller is full of c*&@ (smelly stuff)

when the premium top is used they use the custom made neck plate. This is not a custom shop instrument, this is a premium selected top.

Heres why. For many many years I refused to grade wood for necks or bodies. It is sooooo subjective. What is a ten top to some is a 5 top. How much birds eye earns a premium? I kept getting beat on to grade tops. As a concession it was suggested that we
let the customer decide if he/she is willing to pay for us to hand select the best top available. Few people take advantage of this option, but it is all about giving the customers as many choices possible.

This figured maple is like GOLD! I think back to the good old days where we could get birds eye for not much more and some of the stuff was radical. WE buy as much as wqe can get as often as we can. I has never gone down in price, only up.

I don't think that this person is trying to hype you, rather there might have been something lost in translation.....

Wow that is one beautiful looking guitar indeed! I didn't know there was an option for the selection of a premium top but now that I do, it's a great option to have indeed.
