Hi there,

Just trying to get some feedback on your use of the amp. If you have the head, what speakers have your teamed it up with?

What type of music have you been using it for?

Thanks,

i was playing one a few weeks ago in the store and just "noodling" and it was fantastic and found that it was just very responsive to various guitars (only had F's and G's available) but seemed to have a great overdrive/gain section that was pleasant. I actually like the HT series better than the artisian series for some reason...

(and this was the combo)

I have an HT-20 HEAD that I carry around as a back-up to my regular amp (Mesa Electra-Dyne). I have teamed it with a single 12 Celestion Black Shadow as well as a 2-12 Mesa cabinet with V-30's.

I think the amp sounds great - alot of bang for the buck. It has great gain tones, however I find the clean tones a little less good - largely due to the EQ. The clean channel only has one tone control - TONE, whereas the gain channel has B-M-T.

Oh - one other thing: the digital reverb sounds fantastic. Absolutely one of the very best non-tube reverbs I have ever heard.

I have the head version with a 3/4" open back Mesa Boogie 1x12 with a black shadow as well. This is definitely a great amp at a great value. It is quite versatile and it is mostly about the distortion channel, but the clean is pretty decent considering it has only the tone control. I play mostly instrumental progressive rock, so it does cover a good amount of ground. Also nice with the reverb as Mike mentioned and got some cool pedals to kick in as well...especially delay and BB Preamp. Sounds quite good on low volume settings as well. Both the SM Y2D and my Silo Special sound great through this amp of course.
